about the author

Q: What’s your name, real name?

A: My online moniker’s Missy. I do respond to it offline as well.

Q: When did you start blogging? Why?

A: I started blogging about 7-8 years back. Initially, when I first started out, my blog was more alike an online diary where I recollected highlights in my life and penned my thoughts and feelings about them.

Slowly, as my interests grew in other aspects such as technology, culinary activities, current affairs and social media, this blog also took on new dimensions to reflect the evolving me.

I hope that my blog can be a place where I can share my creations, and interact with a larger audience.

Q: What do you do in real life – for a living?

A: Broadly defined, I’m in marcomms.

Q: What are you like in real-life? Differences between blog and real-life persona?

A: What you see is what you get.

Q: Is there an easier way to communicate with you?

A: You can leave me a comment here.

I do appreciate all readers’ and friends’ feedback on this blog or any of its entries.

So, if you have something to say, please don’t hesitate – let me know!

That’s all for now, folks.

  1. Hi Missy,

I am Chui Wai, a final year student at Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Iinformation in NTU and am together with my group, working on our final year project (fyp) – a campaign in trying to raise awareness of mental health among youths in Singapore.

Our campaign is centered on raising awareness about mood disorders amongst youth. Exploring the boundaries of art in digital mediums, this project aims to utilise online platforms like blogs, Facebook, Myspace and Youtube to communicate the complex factual and emotional aspects of a young person’s journey with mood disorders. A multi-media and multi-sensory experience that transcends both the real and virtual world, the salient facts about mood disorders are expressed through music, film, photography and writings.

If possible, we hope to be featured in your blog. Do let me know if it is feasible and how we can work on this together.

Many thanks, and have a great weekend ahead.

    Chui Wai
